with the polarity, but stick with it. This takes some courage,
but it will bring you face-to-face with your attachment to
certain limiting beliefs. Shamanically speaking, to the extent
you hold on to those old beliefs, you are totally run by them.
They determine exactly what you will experience in life un-
less you shift your beliefs.
For example, one of your beliefs might be "I'm just no
good at seeing anything when I close my eyes." The opposite
belief would be "I have excellent visioning powers and I am
able to have vivid and effective journeys when I close my
eyes." Go ahead and lie about it for a while. Soon your lies
will become the truth. Remember that shamans have a repu-
tation for being liars; they know that the physical body needs
to be tricked and cajoled into letting go of any pattern it is
used to.
Tear up your lists or burn them for symbolic destruction.
