Cardinal numbers
34.1 The Arabic cardinal numbers, ي ُةََّأْ َلأ ْع َدا ُد ْ َلأ ْصِل, are rather com-
plicated and even native speakers make errors in using them. It isimportant to remember that the numbers 3–10 take the feminine formwith ta ̄
