The police are appealing for dashcam
footage from drivers after a woman was
killed in a car crash with an ambulance.
The woman, who was in her seven-
ties, was a passenger in a car that collid-
ed with the ambulance, which was
thought to be responding to a call.
The woman was taken to a London
hospital after the accident in Chatham,
Kent, on November 23. She later died of
her injuries.
A man was also hurt in the accident
and was taken to hospital. It was con-
firmed that the ambulance crew were
not injured but had been shaken.
The accident happened at 11.49am in
The Brook, at the exit road from The
Brook multi-storey car park in
Chatham.
Kent police’s serious collision invest-
igation department wants to hear from
anyone who has information about the
incident.
In the moments after the accident
officers had cordoned off The Brook
while three ambulances and two inci-
dent response units remained at the
scene, the police said.
Debris strewn over the road and a
damaged car could be seen at the spot,
which remained closed between
Queen Street and King Street.
