Make your own custom selection
Click any option and read the Safe mode warning: we
suggest rebooting manually if you go down this route. Tick any
repairs you wish to apply (use the menu under ‘Repair Info’ to
learn more about each), then tick ‘Restart/Shutdown System’ and
select ‘Restart System’ before clicking Start Repairs. Q5
Perform quick repairs
Once the basic tests have completed, select Backup Tools
and take both a Registry backup and a System Restore point.
Now select the ‘Repairs – Main’ tab to view the choices on offer.

Scan and repair
Click Scan and wait while the various checks are
performed. At the end, you’ll be told if any problems have been
found. Reparse points are usually safe to ignore, so don’t bother

Click Check to perform a system check on the main

First steps
Download and install the Windows Repair tool from
http://www.tweaking.com – launch the program when prompted after
installation. After the program has performed its start-up check,
click ‘I Agree’ to go to the main screen. Click ‘Go to Step 1’ to start
the process of performing a healthcheck.

Click Help to learn about the power reset function – if you
think it’ll help, follow the instructions to perform one. Return to
