  1. Batch processing images to TIFFs, PSDs or JPEGs
If you are handing over your images to a client without further processing it is unlikely that they
will thank you for handing over a folder of RAW fi les - even if they have an exported cache fi le.
Photoshop now has an ‘Image Processor’ that makes light work of the task of converting all of
the fi les to an appropriate format for your client’s needs. It is possible to batch process in earlier
versions of Photoshop by creating an ‘Action’ and then going to ‘File > Automate > Batch’. A
solution for the software impoverished (version 7 and CS) would be to go to http://www.russellbrown.
com and download Russell’s excellent script that was the inspiration for the Image Processor now
    found in Photoshop CS2.

Note > There is an option in the Image Processor for opening the fi rst RAW image to apply
the settings to the rest but if you have already completed this task earlier you can proceed
in the secure knowledge that your resulting JPEG or TIFF fi les will be superior to the ones
that would have been captured in-camera. You can also process the fi les from directly
within the camera RAW dialog box by choosing the Save option. Depending on the size of
your folder of images this might be another excuse to make a coffee especially if you then
want to open the processed folder and build another cache.
