There was a study done years ago about the Tarahumara Indians of Mexico who for
2000 years had the same meatless diet, eating primarily sweet potatoes and the vines. A
whopping 94% of their calories were carbohydrates and there was never a case of gout,
coronary heart disease, colon cancer, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, cancer of the uterus,
prostate cancer nor pancreatic cancer—just by that simple diet alone. I’m not
suggesting that you go on a sweet potatoes diet but we have known for the past 70
years that the more meat we eat, the lesser our life span will be. Another study done in
Papua New Guinea found that the natives ate only carbs with no meat and they also end
up with no trace of gout, cancer, heart disease, breast cancer, prostate cancer and so on.
Take out your butcher’s knife and trim the fat in your meat and barbeque it over fire, to
burn away the cholesterol and fat. We live longer if we eat things moderately, but
unfortunately we overindulge and then we get into trouble or have a flare-up. Another
important lesson is that although drugs may reduce cholesterol by 5-10%, allopurinol
may lower uric acid levels, or any other gout drug your doctor has prescribed to you,
but the same drugs increase the death rate from other diseases like pancreatitis and
gallbladder disease by 36% so be careful of drugs, they do cause damage.
Some stats to share with you here, in men, lung cancer is the number one killer, number

women, breast cancer is the number one killer, number two lung cancer, number three
colon cancer and number four cancer of the uterus.
