Tool/Services description
.Event Zero’s Event Center^1 is an industry-leading, enterprise-class, event-processing
platform delivering broad capability in support of real-time-distributed data
aggregation and analysis.
.Event Center has over 70 industry standard data adapters for sources ranging from
ICT infrastructure, business applications, sensors, web/market data feeds, and sup-
port for a number of proprietary messaging protocols. Data can be captured in real
time from massively distributed sources, locally analysed and summarized, and
globally aggregated, with native awareness of quality-of-service issues which pervade
distributed and heterogeneous data management.
.Event Center supports stream and state-based event-processing paradigms, and a
hybrid stream state approach which allows for advanced analytics applications to
be written rapidly (typically in days) in response to emergent business needs and
ensuring return on investment. The state paradigm allows for long run times for
analytics, detecting conditions of interest, and identifying trends over extended per-
iods (months to years). Third-party analytics services (e.g., semantics/reasoning/
ontologies) can be connected to Event Center to bring additional power to complex
data analysis.
.Event Center also delivers advanced integration technologies which allow for real-
time data publishing, either as consumable data, or through response management
infrastructure such as real-time alerts, SMS, IVR, tickerboards, web feeds, etc.
.Specific news analytics applications of Event Center include sentiment analysis of
public relations and analyst materials, to understanding climate event and climate
trend indicators in geographic areas across the globe, to reputation and brand
monitoring in social media environments, to regulatory framework changes.
