DataNetworks

Overview

Data networks are particularly important for smart buildings. The basic infra-
structure of data networks (standard cable infrastructure, using the IP network
protocol, interoperable databases) is open and standardized and is proliferat-
ing and being adopted by other building systems. The basic data networking
technology infrastructure comprises the technical core of a smart building.
