Various known concentrations of the stock solution of the complex ion were colormetrically
analyzed and a Beer’s law plot drawn (see Figure 2). The ASA that was produced was then
treated as described earlier and then colorimetrically analyzed with the concentration deter-
mined through extrapolation of the Beer’s law plot.


Finally, a small sample of the ASA was determined to have a final melting point of 134°C.
