4 In contemporary spoken Italian (and sometimes in written Italian as well),
agreement of the past participle with first and second person direct object
pronouns tends not to be observed; this is the case with both singular (mi, ti) and
plural (ci, vi), so quite often you will hear (or read) sentences like the following:

However, the agreement is always made with the third person pronouns (lo,
la, li, le):

Complete the sentences with the direct object pronouns, making sure that the
past participle agrees.

Li ho invitati alla festa.

‘Quando hai visto Carla e Livia?’

‘Le ho viste ieri.’

Sebastiano went with/took her.

I’ve asked them to the party.

‘When did you see Carla and Livia?’ ‘I
