defunctAmericanArtistsSchoolinNewYorkCity,^1934 to1935;againtheLayton
SchoolofArt, 1944 to1945;MichiganStateCollegeatEastLansing,^1945 to1947;
andatpresent,theUniversityofMinnesotainMinneapolis.Hisworkhasbeen
exhibitedinone-manshowsinNewYorkandelsewherefrom^1936 tothepresent
andingroupexhibitionsfromcoasttocoast.TheCranbrookPrizewasawarded
Quirt'sworkattheMichiganArtistsExhibitionattheDetroitInstituteofArtsin
1946 andhewonThirdPrizeinanexhibitionofWisconsinartistsin1948.Hehas
alsowrittenarticlesonart.
