My dear Reich,
[ 1947 ]
June 26, 1947
I'll have 14 days with you at Orgonon, long enough for one
who can't take any part in the work. I won't be allowed even to mend
broken fuses, for lIse said she does all that. You can't let me do nothing
while you all work at microscopes all the day. Give me a sharp scythe
and some grass to cut.
Well, I take it that Hamilton will meet me in N.Y., take me to the
train and next morning I'll be met by you or lIse at your station? Fine.
But have you any shops near you? I ask because I have no light clothes,
and am told that Maine in August is hot as hell.
It is going to be a great joy to meet you again.

[Neill arrived in the United States on August 14, and took a night
train to Farmington, Maine, where he was met and driven to
Orgonon, Reich's property in Rangeley. He spent two weeks with
the Reichs and from there went to the Hamilton school and farm,
in Sheffield, Massachusetts, where he was to conduct a week of
seminars.]

We are missing you very much. It was not only good and
pleasant to have you here, but it actually helped to clarify most distress
ing problems. I hope very much that we can keep up our discussions by
mail and that we shall continue to clear up things at your next visit.
I am enclosing a check for $ 100 of the Orgone Research Fund for
your traveling and living expenses, as agreed upon.
I am sure you will find some or most of the people you will meet at
the seminar and in New York pleasant and understanding. Most of them
have struggled with our problems.
