individuals who misuse freedom of expression to put out the murder
stuff and that, furthermore, there is a heavy fight going on in the U.S.
against this misuse. It is a typical red fascist manner of smearing.
Legman is the man who called up our Institute some 2 years ago and
started to insult us on the telephone about "this obvious quackery of
the orgone accumulator." This means, summed up, he is a thief, a red
fascist and a nuisance in addition to that. (After having dictated the
above, we received a letter containing the following passage: You may
be interested to know that G. Legman, author of Love & Death, wrote
to --that he has just read Mass Psychology of Fascism and found that
Dr. Reich had already said everything he wrote in Love & Death and
had said it much better than he.)
I am preparing a special number of the Orgone Energy Bulletin,
"Towards the Healthy Child." In this context your nice little paper will
find its proper place.

Everything points in the direction of my remaining at Orgonon. The
pros and cons are too entangled to be set down in a letter. The plan has
shaped up to build up an Orgone Energy Hospital at Orgonon and
there is great enthusiasm among the doctors of the New York area to
pitch in, economically and otherwise, and to have the hospital function
ing by 1952. My staying in Orgonon would be the first serious step in
the direction of building up at Orgonon the University of Orgonomy. If
things go wrong I might break my economic neck. But it is tempting
to jump once more over a wide abyss, as I did so often before, but this
time at the age of 52. Ilse is all for staying here, and Peter loves the
public school at Rangeley. However, we must wait and see.
As you know, I have reserved a whole day for the discussion of the
Healthy Child Problem next summer. Would you be willing to prepare
a lecture of about 45 minutes or I hour duration for this occasion? The
whole emphasis should be on the problems of health in children as they
arise in an environment of armored parents and teachers.
