Macro Photography

You will need a head that has a camera mounting plate that is secure and that allows you to slip
your camera on and off the head quickly.

Your tripod head will also need adjustment handles for all of the axis points... up, down, side to
side and tilted.

For macro/close-up photography a great option would be to get a rails attachment that allow you
to slide the camera back and forth. This solves the biggest problem with using a tripod for macro
work – fine tuning the camera’s position.
