I realize that with your tripod, camera bag, rain gear and so on, you are going to be lugging
around quite a bit, so here is a thought...I suggest having a full-fledged first aid kit in your car
and then stick a small bottle of disinfectant and a few band aids in one of the outer pockets of
your camera bag.
If you tend to have allergic reactions to insect bites or stings, be sure to have your medication
with you. Having your Epipen in the car is nice, but if you are half a mile away having a seizure
and can’t breathe... Do I need to continue?
It’s a good idea to learn to recognize the poisonous plants in your area. Spending an hour or so
lying in a patch of poisonous plants may produce a wonderful insect shot – but you’ll pay dearly.
