Start Craster Quarry car park, Craster
NE66 3TW (OS ref NU 258201).
Walk From car park, road to Craster
harbour (258200). Follow Dunstanburgh
Road, then cliff path to Dunstanburgh
Castle (257217). Dune path to beach; on
round Embleton Bay for 1¾ miles to Ship
Inn (242245). Return on path inland to
pass Dunstanburgh Castle; in ½ mile, at
Nova Scotia bay, right (258209), then
path along volcanic ridge of the Heughs.
Getting there Bus 418, Berwick-upon-
Tweed-Alnwick. Road: Craster is
signposted off A1 near Alnwick.
