Holy Spirit always and only brings glory to Jesus. It is His role
and responsibility to make known to you what Jesus wants
you to know.
Because I’ve talked to, coached, and prayed with so many
people who live unfulfilled and defeated lives—always
relapsing and never getting past their struggles—I feel that it is
incredibly important to clearly present the power of God that is
available to you right now in the person of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is not an “it” or a thing. He is a person.
He is the holy person of God who indwells you, always
revealing more and more of God to you. He illuminates the
Word of God as you read it—almost lifting verses off the page
to catch hold of your emotions and turn your heart toward Him.
His words of counsel, comfort, conviction, and correction are
designed to reveal truth versus lies, love versus selfishness,
faith versus doubt, and right versus wrong to you. The Holy
Spirit doesn’t exist to make you happy—He exists to make
God’s love and power known to you.
And did I mention He is holy? This one-word description in
His name and about His name—holy—defines the core of His
message to you. He comes into you to set you apart for His
purposes—to make you holy. The Holy Spirit talks to you—to
teach and guide you in the holy ways of God.
If the Holy Spirit is to fully and completely reside within you,
holiness will have to have its way with you.
