Muslims believe that all prophets were
sent with the same message, regardless
of where they went and in what period
they preached. Allah tells Muhammad,
‘‘Nothing is said to you that has not
been said to other apostles before you’’
(Sura41:43). However, Muslims believe
that only Muhammad and his
community received the message
without changing it, and that the Koran
is the only perfect record of the Will of
Allah. All the prophets, Muslims
assume, were sent to teach people how
to worship Allah through prayers,
almsgiving, fasting, and pilgrimages to
the holy sites.
