N. C. Essential Standards Checklist.......................................................
This checklist can be used to help plan the focus of each lesson during the
school year so that each of the objectives listed will have been met by all
grade levels. Many of the objectives will be met more than once during the
course of a school year.
Make a copy of this checklist for each class as a method of recording the
goals and objectives as they are achieved throughout the year.
Essential Standard - V.1: Use the language of visual arts
to communicate effectively. Essential Standard - V.2: Apply creative and critical
thinking skills to artistic expression. Essential Standard - V.3: Create art using a variety of
