The crumble has to be
fully baked; using raw
crumble would be fatal, as
the juice would soak
through and prevent it
and the crust from baking.
If you want to make this a
nut-free dessert you
could use crushed
cookies or even crumbled
sponge cake that you dry
out in a 300°F/150°C oven
for 15 minutes.
