Middletherope(1),and,
allowinga longenoughbight
fortheloopdesired.twistthe
ropewiththerighthand,
takingcarenottoalterthe
parallelarrangementofthe
rope(2,3).Passthebight(4)
throughtheeyeofthetwist
(5)toproducea perfectly
balancedandorderedfigure-
eightknot.Checktheknot,
adjustthelooptofitaround
thewaisl,andtighten(6).
