her background, her style, and her success. We both were
successful in our "past lives" in vastly different ways, and
now our paths have merged. You probably know Connie's
past history, so just a brief bit about mine...
My first entrepreneurial endeavor was sort of as a teacher,
but different than Connie's teaching. I taught adults about
software, and traveled the country to do so. It was difficult
with a family, including a young son, but it was necessary
at the time.
After burning out from all the travel, I settled down by
opening a small retail store in my home town. It was a
good idea then, and worked well, until the economy
collapsed for my little niche (collectibles, a very
discretionary sort of purchase decision).
I made do for a while by selling on eBay, and actually
continued that for 13 years until recently, and though that
did work out very well, again the economy, increased fees
and competition, and other factors dragged down the
income.
Beginning in about 2002 I discovered Internet marketing. I
knew it could work if I did, but for 3 long years it just flat
out failed for me. If only I had Connie's training back then,
things wouldn't have been so difficult. Fortunately, in 2005
I figured out what would work for me, and was able to start
earning a livable income.
