Step 10:
Online Visibility
Visibility on the Internet is crucial. By this I mean that if
your prospects are unable to find you online, your business
will never get off the ground. You want your prospects and
clients to see you everywhere.
Think about offline businesses for just a moment. A new
retail establishment or service business will do whatever it
has to do in order to be found easily by potential
customers. This could mean leasing a location on a main
street or in a busy shopping center, putting up billboards
and other advertising, and joining the local Chamber of
Commerce and other trade associations.
All of this leads to increased visibility, and therefore,
increased business. You must do the same thing when you
set up your online business.
Start by doing some research to find your keywords. You
can use the free Google tool, or take a look at some of your
competitor's sites to see which keywords they are using on
their pages. There are two ways to do this:
Right-click on their site to see which keywords they
have listed in their meta tags
