marketing techniques and strategies that I now use as part
of my day-to-day business.
I first heard about Armand at the beginning of 2008, and
decided that he was someone I could definitely learn
something from. I heard that he was going to be speaking
in Atlanta, and I decided to attend that event. I happened
to be at someone else's event in March of that year, and
had the opportunity to speak to him after his presentation.
I told him that I would be in Atlanta in a month, and asked
him if he would be there for sure.
In his most kind way, he answered, "Yes, I kind of have to
be there." It wasn't until I arrived in Atlanta and walked up
to the counter to register did I realize that this was
Armand's event! It was called the Big Seminar, and he held
14 of these events between 2002 and 2010. Armand and I
still joke about this to this day.
This event created many success stories and changed
people's lives forever. In fact, at Big Seminar 13, held in Las
Vegas in November of 2009, I was the $25,000 grand prize
winner for his 'Better Your Best' contest. You can Google
this if you want to see more about what happened and how
I won. Now several of my students have gone on to
participate in this annual contest, and one of them, Helen
Raptoplous, was the runner up in November of 2010.
Anyway, let's get back to my promotion in August of 2009.
