Step 4:
Signing Up As An Affiliate
Once you have decided to sign up as an affiliate for
someone, be sure to save each email they send you. I have a
folder within my email account called 'Affiliate Info'. That's
where I put everything to begin with. As time goes on and I
see that I will be promoting a particular person or line of
products on a more regular basis, I will give them their
own email folder to save time.
The next thing you will want to do is to log in to the affiliate
center, using the username and password in your welcome
email. You will receive one or two of these right away,
depending on the system the person is using. There are
many affiliate programs available, including 1 Shopping
Cart, Nanacast, iDevAffiliate, Clickbank, eJunkie, and
Infusionsoft. Get to know how each of these works so that
you can easily log in to see how much commission you have
earned, how many times people have clicked on your link,
and what other products and programs are available from
that person at that time. Some people do a good job of
letting their affiliates know what is happening, while others
do not. It is up to you to stay on top of your stats.
