If we read the Bible, inevitably, in following its
teachings, weshall learnthat God is a personal be-
ing. Weshallsee,itistrue,thatthewholecreation
is dependent uponHim, but inno sense is He de-
pendentuponit. Toseethis, weneedreadonlythe
following


:

"Thou,Lord,inthebeginninghastlaidthefounda-
tion oftheearth;andtheheavens aretheworks of
Thinehands: theyshallperish;butThouremainest;
andtheyallshallwaxoldasdothagarment;andas
avestureshaltThou foldthemup,andtheyshallbe
changed:butThouartthesame,andThyyearsshall
notfail." Heb.i:10-12.
Thusinone scripture are announced mostclearly
God'seternity,Hispriorityoverthecreation,andHis
independence of it; also we discover the transient
elementthereisinit,andthatbyitHeiswhollyun-
affected. Heisrevealedastheeternal,unchangeable,
omnipotentOne.
NeverthelessHeisthepersonalGod. Noothersug-
gestioncomestousfromtheBible. Hesitsuponthe
throneofpower. ThisistheBibleconception.
Say some:"ThislimitsGod. He isthusrestricted
toa givenarea. It doesnot agreewiththeidea of
Hisomnipotenceand omnipresence."
ButtheBibleclearlyteachesusthatGodispresent
everywherebyHisSpiritandHispower. ThusDavid
presented it. (Ps. 139:1-16.) And when Christ
promisedHispresencewiththedisciples,itwastobe
bymeansoftheHolySpirit. (John14:16-18.) But
