skieswill seemallatoncetoincreasethenumberof
itsstars,tomultiplythembyhundredsandthousands,
everyonenearer, shiningmoreclearly, shiningmore
steadily,tellingitsstoryinawaythatcannotbemis-
taken.
High in the heavens shines the great nebula of
Orion. Foragesveiledtotheeyeofmanbytheat-
mosphere,ithaslookedlikeonelargemilkystar;but
thenitwillbeseentobeahalooflight,ashiningspot
ofglory. Insteadofbeingconfinedtoonelittlespot,
itwillbe seentoextend out,infilamentsand wisps
and streamers of light, to other stars in the Orion
constellation. Itwillbeanawfulsightforhimwho
hasreviledtheideaofaGod. Forhimwhohaslived
foryears underthecurtainofnature,itwillbe ter-
ribletofindthiscurtainsuddenlywithdrawn,andhim-
selfbrought facetofacewiththeinfiniterichesand
gloriesofGod'smightyuniverse.
Butthecurtainoftheairwillnotbewithdrawnfor
mantoviewmerelythestarsandthenebulae. Ascene
offarmore,yea,oftranscendentimportanceisabout
toappearbeforehisastonishedgaze. Faraway,yet
cleartotheeyesofearth'sinhabitants,willappearthe
sign ofthe Son ofman. Atfirst, itwill seem no
largerthanaman'shand. Darkitwillappearincon-
trastwiththeglorystreamingfromtheheavens;but
theformwillbeunmistakable. Everyeyewillbehold
itasthesign,thetoken,oftheSonofman. Christ,
the rejected,yettheJudgeof allthe earth,is com-,
ing. HewillbeemblazonedwithallthegloryofHis
Father;HeiscomingclothedinHisowntranscendent
