jestically sweeping around under the providence of
God, who aloneknows theend from thebeginning,
andbefore whosegloryand powerallintelligentbe-
ings, whether in heaven or earth, should bow with
humilityandawe.
"WouldyougainsomeideaofthewisdomofGod,
looktotheadmirableadjustments ofthemagnificent
retinue of planets andsatellites whichsweep around
thesun. Every globe hasbeenweighed and poised,
everyorbithasbeenmeasuredandbenttoitsbeautiful
form. Allischanging,butthelawsfixedbythewis-
domof God,thoughthey permitthe rockingtoand
froofthesystem, never introduce disorder, or lead
to destruction. All is perfect and harmonious, and
themusicofthespheresthatburnandrollaroundour
sun,isechoedbythatoftenmillionsofmovingworlds,
thatsingandshinearoundthebrightsunsthatreign
above.
"Ifoverwhelmedwiththegrandeurandmajestyof
theuniverseofGod, weareled toexclaimwiththe
Hebrewpoetking,'WhenIconsiderThyheavens,the
workof Thyfingers, themoon andthe stars,which
Thouhastordained;whatisman,thatThouartmind-
fulof him?and theson ofman, thatThouvisitest
him?' If fearful thattheeyeof Godmay overlook
usintheimmensityofHiskingdom,wehaveonlyto
calltomindthatotherpassage: Thouhastmadehim
alittlelowerthantheangels,and hastcrownedhim
