u Tatiana Lumiere created “Elegia” as a personal project and to experiment with water and fog. The photo was made in her bathroom, where

model Lana Lamce had the challenge of staying a oat in the tub while gracefully posing. She was propped on an Ikea stool with  owers

and leaves placed all around her. Makeup artist Geniia Elliott had the task of ensuring the cosmetics stayed in place on the model. Lumiere

shot the image from a ladder, looking down on the subject and directing the posing. “When you work with dry ice everything happens very

fast,” she says. “A minute and a half and the fog was gone.” In post-production she added an Elizabethan open ruff she’d made from plastic

mesh and arti cial  owers and a bleeding heart vine from her garden. Tatiana Lumiere Photography is based in Wayne, Pennsylvania, and
