SUGGESTIONS FOR MACULAR DEGENERATION*
➤ Zinc (50 mg/day).
➤ Blueberries. These berries contain biofl avonoids that build
cell membranes and supply the retina with pigment.
➤ Vitamin E (400 to 800 units/day). Take with selenium.
➤ Vitamin A (25,000 to 50,000 units/day).
➤ Vitamin D (1,000 to 2,000 units/day).
➤ Magnetic pad placed over the eyes (see Resources).
➤ Vitamin C (1,000 mg/day).
➤ Taurine, lutein, and zeaxanthin. These are major
constituents of the pigments in the retina. For dosage, follow
the directions on the label.
