We’re living in a society where legalized gambling isn’t only socially accepted, it’s widely promoted and highly visible. Online gambling is ille- gal in the United States, but despite that we’re in the midst of an Internet- gambling boom. Young Americans and adults place millions of bets on a regular basis in online casinos (see Figure 10-10) and sports sites.
