will need to experiment. If you find yourself falling
asleep, shorten the induction period, if you find;
yourself not becoming fully relaxed, lengthen the
induction period.


After you have read the induction onto the
beginning of the tape you will be ready to put a few
selected goals on the tape. I would suggest between
four and ten goals initially, depending on your ability
to concentrate and visualize.


Let's say that your first goal is that you own a
dream home. You would read onto the tape the
following: "I own my dream home. I have paid
$200,000 cash deposit and I can easily afford the
mortgage repayments. It has six bedrooms and an
indoor swimming pool." Then you would leave
forty-five seconds blank on the tape where you will be
visualizing the goal. The words are just a cue for the
pictures. Your success will be in direct proportion to
how much mental energy you spend creating
subjective images for your right computer. You would
vividly imagine the following:


You would visualize walking through your dream
house, taking note of the pictures on the walls, the
flowers in the vases and. the pile of the carpets on the
floor. Actually take a dip in the pool, splash around
with some of your friends. See the smiles on their
faces, hear the laughter in their voices. Have a
barbecue on the lawn, smell the roast chicken and
kebabs. Go back in the house and take some fresh
roses that you have picked in the garden, actually see
yourself picking the roses. Display them in a vase,
add some sprigs of lilac, smell them. See yourself
entertaining guests in the living room. Dance with
your spouse, hear the Moonlight Serenade playing on
the stereo. Hear the voices of family and friends
talking merrily in the background. Cook up a meal in
