clothing except the shoes. Socks may actually be left on to
advantage. The entire work is thus so simple that it may be used at
any time and in any place.
The possibilities this system brings to mind are unlimited. In
the field of First Aid there is nothing that can compare with it. Scout
Masters may relieve all types of pain from sprains, twists,
dislocations, cramps, fevers, and indigestion. Many more conditions
respond to this marvelous science. And what applies to Scout
Masters can also apply to you in any and all emergencies.
No piece of machinery made by man, no matter how wonderful
it is, can compare with the mechanism that the Creator gave to us in
this beautiful body of ours. As He gave us this body, He also gave us
a complete system of controls that make it possible to keep the body
in perfect running order, if we will but follow the rules. We become
sick to the same extent to which we ignore these rules.
From the very beginning of man's existence, he has, knowingly
or unknowingly, used this system of pain relief. With primitive man,
living close to Nature, he walked or ran from place to place either
barefooted or with thin foot covering. Thus he stepped on sticks or
stones and in so doing, he automatically pressed and stimulated
various reflexes. As he used his hands in work or play, again he
activated the reflexes. Modern man may now use this complete
arrangement of reflex controls, which are found all over the body, to
give fast relief. The stimulation is applied from the outside, but
remember, the healing process takes place within.
There are seven or more control points for each affected part.
These points may be used as often as desired as long as the skin or
