Sailor’s Song
Lying looking at the moon
Singing myself a sad ol' dwight
Forgetting all the words and tune
I only sing it when its night
Water spraying on my face
The sea's a little pissed today
Tasting it's strong salty taste
For me, this is home and bay
The clouds are forming in the sky
The wind is smelling like its time
The storm that swung my boat awry
Is coming to complete it’s crime
Tighten all the ropes and hopes
The friendly sea is riling up
White around the boat like soap
Swinging like a drunken’s cup
All set and done I raise my gaze
Knowing well it will be hard
As it last, hours or days
My only partner is the stars
