Martin Freeman is superb as a Scouse copper
in The Responder. Played with realism, depth
and pathos. This role showcases his acting skills
at the highest level. I am blown away by his
performance.

A far cry from Z Cars and Freeman’s Chris Carson
is a far cry from Brian Blessed’s Fancy Smith.
Has television drama changed the most?
