- Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
- Bring some water to a boil in a
double boiler wide enough to fit your
square pan. Place the square pan gently
in the top section of the double boiler. - Cover the pan and steam for 12 to 15
minutes. The dhokla is cooked when a
toothpick inserted into the middle comes
out clean. Remove the lid and let it cool
for 10 minutes in the pan. - Carefully remove the square pan
from the double boiler. - Slowly cut the dhokla into squares
and arrange them in a pyramid on a large
plate. - Sprinkle them with the red chile,
