Le temps (Time)


Due to the need for a time standard in a world of increasing speed of both communication and
travel, time is measured in standard units such as hours, days, months, and years.

In order to keep track of time, we refer to morning, aft ernoon, evening, seconds, minutes, hours,
and so on.

In the following sentences, note how the word l’an is used with age, to indicate a specifi c
year, and to state a year ago, while l’année is used to underline the duration of the year.
