created the human race,God
has desired an authentic

(Genesis 3:8; Exodus 33:11;
John 15:14–15; James 2:23).
And not just to people in

Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger by the way
you treat them. Rather, bring them up with the discipline and
instruction that comesfrom theLord(Ephesians6:4).
Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and
high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and
fromthespiritualpowersof thisworld,ratherthanfromChrist
(Colossians2:8).
God Is Love
Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. But

Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through
him.Thisisreallove—notthatwelovedGod,butthatheloved
us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. Dear
friends, since God loved us that much,we surely ought to love
each other (1 John 4:7b–11).
For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and
only Son,so that everyone who believes in him will not perish
but have eternal life (John 3:16).
I have loved you even as the Father has loved me.Remain in
mylove.Whenyouobeymycommandments,youremaininmy
love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in
hislove.Ihavetoldyouthesethingssothatyouwillbefilledwith
my joy.Yes, your joy will overflow! This is my commandment:
Love each other in the same way I have loved you. There is no
greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends (John
15:9–13). continued
