Indian Soils :
The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has classified the soils of India
into eight groups:- Alluvial Soils
- Black Soils
- Red and Yellow Soils
- Laterite Soils
- Mountain Soils
- Desert or Arid Soils
- Saline Soils
- Peaty or Organic Soils
