Verification of Matters
Within the courses of its speculative education, Islam insisted upon
the verificationofmatters andobtainingcertitude before judging.God
says:
Andfollownotthatofwhichyouhavenottheknowledge;surelythe
hearingandthesightandtheheart;alloftheseshallbequestionedabout
that.
On that account, God forbade depending upon surmise. God says:
They do not follow anything but conjecture, and surely conjecture
does not avail against the truth at all.
The baseless surmise leads to incorrect delusion and many fatal
troubles. Fatalistsdepended uponsuchsurmise when they deniedthe
existence of God as well as the Resurrection. God says:
Andtheysay:Thereisnothingbutourlifeinthisworld.Weliveand
dieandnothingdestroysus buttime.Andthey havenoknowledgeof
that. They only conjecture.
Fatalists deviated to such a lowly footonly because they depended
upon conjecture in the conventional fields.
Islamhas alsobanned relyinguponthe reports of the licentiouslest
sedition and ignorance will be prevalent. God says:
O youwho believe! If an evildoer comesto you with a report,look
carefully intoit, lestyouharma peopleinignorance,thenbe sorry for
what you have done.
