Censure of Menadacity
Islam has warned against this ill characteristic. God says:
OnlytheyforgetheliewhodonotbelieveinAllah’scommunications,
and they are the liars.
So,Hemadehypocrisytofollowasaconsequenceintotheirheartstill
the day when they shall meet Him becausethey failed to perform to-
wardsAllahwhat theyhadpromised with Himandbecausethey told
lies.
TheProphet(s)said,“Bewareoffabricating.Itleadstolicentiousness,
whichleadstothehell-fire.”.“MayIinformyouofthegrandestsin?Itis
polytheism and impiety to parents and telling lies..
ImamAli(a)said,“Theservants–ofGod-willnotfindthegoodtaste
of faithfulness before they quit intentional and unintentional
fabrication.”
ImamAlibinal-Hussein(a)said,“Bewareofinsignificant,influential,
unintentional, and intentional lies. Fibs lead to fabrication.
Imamal-Baqir(a)said,“GodthePraisedhasmadelocksforthevices.
Hemadetheconsumingofintoxicantsthekeysoftheselocks.Mendacity
is viler than consuming intoxicants.”
Imamal-Askari(a)said,“Alloftheviceswereconfinedinahousethe
key of which is mendacity.”
Moreover, manyothernarratives forbid thisevilqualityand declare
God’s punishment to those who commit this depravity.
