MOCKERY AND SARCASM

Islamhas calledto the mutualrespect andesteem. Accordingto the
Islamiceducation,itisillicittomockordebaseotherswhetherbywords,
deeds,or indication in ordernot toarouse animosityanddiscrepancy.
God says:
O,youwho believe!Letnotone peoplelaughatanotherpeopleper-
chancetheymaybebetterthanthey,norletwomenlaugh atotherwo-
men,perchancethey maybetter thanthey.Anddonot find faultwith
your own
peoplenorcalloneanotherbynickname.Evilisabadnameafterfaith.
And whoever does not turn, these it is thatare the unjust.
Mockery,carping,anddefamationbringonheartmalice,rupturethe
bondsofmutualassociation,amiabilityanddisobedience,andoccasion
God’sscorn.Mockersaresurely wrongingthemselvesandapproaching
God’s chastisement and castigation.
