Objective: Given the following materials, design a ve-

hicle that will transport a penny. The vehicle must re-

main in contact with the penny and the ground at all

times. The design that travels a penny the farthest wins.

Each design is allowed one practice run.

Provided Materials: Construction paper (one sheet —

9  12 and one sheet —12 18 ), 1 balloon,

2 straws, and 10 inches of tape.
