The bookmarks in Figure 22.6 are shown as grayed “I” icons on the Word document’s surface. The
bookmarks are normally not visible, but you can make them visible by using the File tab in the
upper-left corner of the main Word window, choosing Options in the Backstage, and then select-
ing the Advanced tab. On the Advanced Options screen, make sure the Show Bookmarks check
box is selected in the Show Document Content area. The bookmark names won’t be visible — only
the bookmark holders (locations) will be visible, as shown in Figure 22.6.

If you click the Print Thank-You Letter button in Access while Word is open with an existing document that
lacks the bookmark names specified in the code, the fields will simply be added to the text inside Word at the
point where the cursor is currently sitting.
