- Flush oil cooler/lines until discharged fluid is clean.
OIL COOLER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
- Remove the engine cover.

- Remove the battery cover.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Drain the ATF. (See AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID (ATF) REPLACEMENT .)
- Remove the following parts.
a. Splash shield
b. Under cover
c. Battery tray, battery duct
(See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
d. Air cleaner duct, air cleaner, air cleaner bracket
e. PCM duct
f. Catalytic converter
(See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove in the order indicated in the table.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Add ATF to the specified level. (See AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID (ATF)
REPLACEMENT .)
- Inspect for oil leakage from the oil pipes and oil hoses.
- Inspect for coolant from the hoses.
- Inspect the ATF level and condition. (See AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID (ATF)
INSPECTION .)
- Perform the line pressure test. (See Line Pressure Test .)
- Perform the road test. (See ROAD TEST .)
