Bison Burgers


If you think an all-beef burger is delish, this bison burger will knock your socks off. This
recipe, which calls for a little salt, pepper, and garlic, results in a burger that isn’t
overseasoned but still has flavor. Serve this on a whole-wheat roll with your favorite
burger toppings.

Stage: Soft foods
Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cooking time: 4 minutes
Yield: 4 servings (One 4-ounce patty each)

1 pound ground bison

(^1) ⁄ 2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 Preheat the grill to medium heat.
2 Place all ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix well. Form into 4 equal-sized balls and
press into^1 ⁄ 4 -inch thick patties.
3 Grill for 2 minutes, and then turn patties over and cook an additional 2 minutes.
