Chef Dave’s Easy Savory Chili


This is the easiest and tastiest chili you’ll ever make and eat. Beef and turkey are the
perfect combination, and with the addition of beans, this chili is packed with protein.

Stage: Regular foods
Preparation time: 10 minutes

Cooking time: 25 minutes
Yield: 6 servings (1 cup each)

(^1) ⁄ 2 pound lean ground beef
(^1) ⁄ 2 pound lean ground turkey
2 teaspoons chopped garlic
(^1) ⁄ 2 cup chopped onions
One 14-ounce can no-salt-added tomato
sauce
One 14-ounce can low-sodium diced
tomatoes, drained
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
(^1) ⁄ 2 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup canned black beans, drained
1 Place ground beef and turkey in a medium pot and cook for 5 minutes over medium-
high heat. Drain fat.
2 Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a simmer. Continue simmering for 20
minutes.
