  1. Compose the image. You can frame the
    Ferris wheel any way you want, in Figure 5-22
    I wanted the whole wheel in the image, but
    feel free to try different things. A zoom lens is
    really helpful here, allowing you to try differ-
    ent compositions without having to move
    the tripod.

starting point:



  1. Find a good location and set up your tripod.
    Look for a location where you are allowed to
    set up the tripod and you have a clear view of
    the Ferris wheel. Pay attention to the area
    where you set up so you aren’t in anyone’s way.
