- Select the White Balance Selector tool from
the Basic panel in the Develop module. - The eyedropper icon replaces the mouse
cursor and can be positioned over any part
of the image. - Move the eyedropper to an area of the
image that is a neutral gray, and click to set
the white balance. Avoid using areas that
are 100 percent white.
The white balance controls are in the Basic panel
when using the Develop module. Actually, they
appear at the top of the Basic panel. The white bal-
ance controls consist of an eyedropper icon, a drop-
down menu of presets, and two sliders, one for the
color temperature and the other for the tint.
The eyedropper tool (White Balance Selector
tool) allows you to set the white balance of any
image by clicking an area that you know should
be a light gray. To do this, follow these steps:
