essentialinnermostessenceofeveryhumanbeing.Thereforeanynotionstothecontraryarebasedon
illusionandignorance.Further,whenthemindanditsdualisticnotionsaretranscended(through
mysticalpractices),apersoncandiscoverthattheyarenotthebody,neithermaleorfemale,butSpir-

Thus,itisthecreativeenergywhichflowsfromthespiritwhichmanifestsassexualdesireinhuman
beings.Naturehasimplantedaninnateneedtounite,toprocreate.Allthingsseektheirmatesin
nature.Thereforeitisinthepolarityofmalesandfemalesthattheattractiveforcecanbeseenmost
prominently.Forapersonwhohasnotunderstoodthisteaching,thereisnoescapingtheforceof
nature.Thatpersoniscompelledbynaturetoenterintosexualrelationships,whichleadtofamilyre-
lationsandresponsibilitiesorotherformsofentanglement(karma).Foronewhohastranscended
theseimpulses,theenergyisredirectedtowardsUnity,notwithanotherego-personality,butwiththe
HigherSelf,andcreativityofadifferentorder,thatis,anexpansioninconsciousnesswhichisthe
source of great achievements in spirituality as well as in arts and the social advancement of humanity.
